Basis points (bps)

One basis point equals 0.01% (one one-hundredth of one percent). Mortgage rates and adjustments are typically expressed in bps.

Example: a 25-bp adjustment is 0.25%. A 1% LLPA is 100 bps. Pricing trace lines almost always show contributions in bps or in equivalent price points.
