Migrate from an existing PPE in 4-6 weeks
The structured migration playbook: parallel pricing, shadow production, cutover. Concrete weekly milestones.
Week 1 — Discovery and sandbox setup
Inventory your investor pack, ratesheet sources, comp/margin hierarchy, and downstream consumers. Spin a sandbox with your investor pack pre-loaded; ingest your top three investors' ratesheets via email-in or upload.
Week 2 — Parallel pricing
Run your top 50 scenarios in both engines. Reconcile per-quote differences. Differences fall into three buckets: structural rule differences, ratesheet ingestion differences, or genuine pricing improvements (the new engine is doing it right; the old one wasn't).
Week 3 — Reconciliation workshop
Joint working session with your team and ours to walk through discrepancies. Either fix the new engine's rule configuration or accept that the new engine is right and the old one was off. Sign off on the pricing model.
Week 4 — Shadow production
Both engines run on production traffic. Downstream systems still consume from the old engine. New engine is logged; pricing divergences alert.
Week 5 — Repoint downstream
One downstream system at a time, repoint at the new engine. Webhooks, BI feeds, hedge inputs. Validate each before moving the next.
Week 6 — Cutover
Old engine becomes read-only. New engine is sole production source. Old subscription stays active for one additional month as a fallback.
